Chorkor is a fishing village and neighborhood in Accra. It is a densely populated slum village bounded by RIver inflow that channels to the sea. The community engages in Fishing in the river and sea at the same time.
Due to the huge impact of plastic pollution, fisher folks are massively losing the source of revenue as aqua life is slowly dying out in the river due to the huge waste and plastic pollution.
This cleanup is the first-ever clean-up action taking place in the Chorkor River body. Join us.
